Central Florida Writers & Publishers Guild
The Orlando Renaissance Writers Guild (ORWG) began in 2002 by Founder, Theodis
Hollins and Co-Founder, Doretha Fedrick. Members met at Ted Hollins Photography in
the Montsho Bookstore in Orlando.
The founding members had the 1st Literacy Benefit Banquet in 2008, and for the next several years, the Guild honored Author-of-the-Year, Ghostwriter-of-the-Year, Publisher-of-the-Year, and more.
In 2018, it became the The Central Florida Writers and Publishers Guild (CFWPG)
when it received non-profit status. The mission has always been to nurture literary
artists in preparation for writing, editing, publishing, and marketing their works.
In 2022, CFWPG received grant funds for a Young Writers Project, where Guild
mentors helped three Central Florida high school students to write and publish and sell their books.
